Kaipa - Mindrevolutions (2005)

Click to listen sample

Another one of Roine Stolt's works that doesn'y vary too much either if it's The Flower Kings, Karmakanic, Kaipa or whatever. Modern neoprog with lots of nice melodic outlines and as always fine guitar playing.

The female vocals of guest Aleena surely injects a new feeling to the band's traditional sound, having its "tour de Force" on the 25 minute epic title track, a good example of modern symphonic rock.

Overall, Mindrevolutions is a very likeable album that may be use as a starting point for progressive newcomers but it wouldn't dislike the hardcore ones.
