Kurdt Vanderhof from the legendary Metal Church shows his progressive side on this new project. As you may
expect, the music goes primarly through the Hard Rock edge but the tempo changes are present all over the cd.
A very important part of the band sound is played by keyboardist Brian Cokeley, providing the atmospheres
that differenciate Peace Among the Ruins from any other straight metal album
Despite the Hair Rock Era choruses abundant on the record, the result is very interesting and Vanderhoof
proves he can manage different styles withot proble. Check The Fringes to have an idea of the album's sound.
