Echolyn - The End Is Beautiful (2005)

Click to listen

A surprise for Echolyn long time fans, The End Is Beautiful shows some sort of a new phase in the band's music. Heavily sustained on brass instruments this effort certainly shows a step forward on one of the most distinguished american prog bands of our days. The opening track should not discourage the listener's to go farther on this recording; Heavy Blue Miles starts to show the real concept of this album and things get better from then on. Besides the incidentally "balladesque" approach of some pieces, the album is a very good and refreshing effort.
